The Will You Fill This Conundrum

What happens when you ask a fast food restaurant if they'll fill your reusable bottle or cup at a drive-through window? The answer may not be as simple as you think. If you haven't watched the short film above, we suggest you do (yes, now!). It follows one person's trip to five different fast food restaurants, and chronicles the answers she gets to the same basic question: Will you fill this reusable container?

What happens in this film leads us at Klean Kanteen to one overarching question: Why isn't there a universal, accepted, understood answer to whether or not our retailers can fill a reusable cup? We're not sure, and that's confusing. So we're starting a conversation to raise awareness, ask more questions and understand the myriad answers that we keep getting. And now we're asking you -- our consumers, loyal fans, friends and family -- to get out there, ask your local retailers if they'll fill your reusable container, and let us know what the places you visit are telling you.

Show us where you fill your Klean Kanteen by entering your photo using this simple form, which allows you to submit a photo with the #BringYourOwn hashtag as your caption, and to tag the coffee shop, tea house, juice bar or restaurant that filled your Kanteen. You can also submit through Instagram or Twitter by posting a photo of your cup and tagging it with #BringYourOwn and the retailer that filled it. At the end of May, we'll choose the top ten most inspiring submissions, and each winner will receive their choice of a Klean Kanteen pint lid or ReFleece cozie.
