Thursday Getaway: Darklight

The mad artists of Sweetgrass Productions are at it again, and this time they've made a short film unlike anything you've ever seen. That statement seems to go hand in hand with the work Sweetgrass produces, and it's because the small crew of hyper-talented filmmakers continues to create adventure sports films that are unique in every right. Last winter, we saw what they could do with a film crew, massive lights and skiers in custom light suits; Afterglow was a vision.

This year, Sweetgrass is continuing in the same vein with its brand-new seven and a half minute film, Darklight, showcasing a new mountain sport entirely. As Sweetgrass puts it, "With a scrappy and determined crew of 27, thousands of pounds of camera and lighting gear was slogged, rigged, soldered, hung and broken down each night. Unlike anything ever seen before in the world of mountain biking, Darklight features arrestingly beautiful landscapes and world class riding." Enjoy.
